Our Classes

Curious where to begin?

The journey to your mat begins wherever you’d like. There is no linear progression your practice must take. Some days are made for challenges while others are for slowing down. Our team welcomes you to any class that piques your interest, and whether you feel like “you’re ready” shouldn’t keep you away.

The #’s after any class simply mean the duration of time: 45, 60 & 75 minutes. Typically the shorter the class time in a flow class, the quicker paced the class may be. All FLOW classes are named as such, which means there will be Sun Salutations as either a warm-up and/or throughout class. Think of these as more of your active/yang practice.

Classes are Heated, Warm or Non-Heated so make sure you check that out before scheduling. The heat can be beneficial to some, while uncomfortable for others. We don’t think there is a right or wrong way to practice, but just so you keep this in mind while booking. Heated classes range from 90-95 degrees, Warm classes 80-88 and Non-Heated is right around 75.

Please read on for more specific class descriptions. Namaste

Yoga (Non-Heated & Warm)

This class is meant for all levels. Body awareness, breathwork and meeting yourself where you are. With patience and practice we can tap into our inner resiliency, no matter what that looks like.

Non-Heated - Wednesdays at 6pm
Non-Heated - Saturdays at 11am

Yin Yoga

“Our goal in life is not to become perfect, our goal is to become whole”
Bernie Clark

Yin Yoga is about slowing down, doing less, being more. Taking our time as we move in and out of poses, mostly on the floor and often supported with props. Tapping into our inner selves and cultivating a sense of mindfulness we don’t always get to.

This class is offered 3 times a week in a non-heated studio and virtually. We use lots of props, so please have them handy. I do like to mention that this class is for everyone; however if quiet and stillness is a trigger for you, be aware these classes hold poses for several minutes, primarily all on the floor either on your backs or seated.

Sundays at 6pm, Tuesdays at 7:15pm (& Warm) & Fridays at `12pm

Yoga For Deep Relaxation

This class is meant for all levels. As we prepare the body for deep rest, some movements and pranayama may be different than you'd anticipate. Coming in with an open mind, heart and ability to tap into your bodies own needs.

What to expect. Body awareness, pranayama (breathwork) and simple movements to encourage and invite deep relaxation, settling into some yin postures and holds. Each week will offer a new experience, to see what works best.

This offering will be a great way to start your week.

Slow Flow

In this class we move at a slower pace and take our time, but please don’t mistake the word slow for easy. This class offers us a chance to shake up our tissues and create that wonderful “I just feel better” sensation afterwards because of the time and care put into each posture. When we slow down our movements, we increase awareness to deficiencies and strengths.

This is a great class for all students looking for movement but not at a pace that may take you out. Offered in 45 and 60 minute sessions both heated, non-heated and warm.

Mondays at 4:30pm, Saturdays at 10am & Sundays Warm at 4:30pm

Power Vinyasa Flow

These classes are the most vigorous of our offerings, but don’t let this scare you off. It’s not for the sake of a workout, but about what we learn when we are challenged. These classes follow a simple yet powerful blueprint to get us in our bodies and out of our heads. Each teacher will bring their own knowledge, understanding and curiosity to the practice. Whether you choose non-heated, heated or a warm offering, these classes will build an internal heat that will presence you in the moment. At times, movement will be queued breath by breath, but no matter the pace the teacher is giving we want you to move with your unique cadence, and allow your practice to unfold.

These are offered 7 days a week!
Non-Heated, Warm & Heated 45, 60 & 75minute options!

Group Strength

This isn’t a yoga class, but we love this offering anyway. Our bodies respond to the demands we put upon them, as well as the demands we don’t. These classes are a great way to harness strength into your everyday lives as well as balancing out your flexibility or endurance.

This class is about maintaining health and wellness, in our bodies, minds and our bones as we age. This class is for everyone, and Leah will be sure to have you pick things up and put them down properly and mindfully.

Tuesdays 4:30pm (45mins Non-Heated Studio)

Mat Strength

Students will be on their own mats as Leah guides a powerful class to kick up your movements and heartrate. Each week will have a different emphasis and focus. Bands and weights will be provided, but as always do as much or little as you see fit.

Offered Saturdays at 9am (45mins non-heated)

Yoga Strength

For the love of a yoga practice & strength work, this class combines both. Students will be on their own mats, moving at a pace that works for them as Leah guides the class through a yoga practice, where she incorporates weights and bands for extra spice. Do as much or as little as it works for you!

Offered Thursdays at 4:30pm (45mins in a warm room)

Private Lessons

“Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured” B.K.S. Iyengar

Whether you are coming back from injury, just want some specific questions answered, want to work on a specific pose or series, or just like the intimate setting of a private session, we are here for you. Lots of great teachers and options, so please email Bridget at Practiceyogacincy@gmail.com for more information and booking. We can offer these classes in person or virtually.
